Negative taken of James Leary, bassist from Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas. Leary studied under the late Art Porter, Sr., and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in Pine Bluff, Jefferson County. In 1994, Leary was living in Los Angeles. Leary has performed and recorded under his own name as well as with numerous great jazz artists. This photograph appeared in the Arkansas Gazette in the 1970s.
